RHONY’s Luann De Lesseps Reveals Her Self-Care and Fitness Secrets

Now that the new year has finally arrived, it’s the perfect time to start out fresh with your workout regimen. Lucky for you, Luann De Lesseps exclusively shared with Life and Style exactly how she manages to look amazing and stay in shape.

“I like to run for 10 minutes or 15 minutes just to get your heart pumping, get your blood flowing, it’s really good,” the 54-year-old said during her new holiday cabaret show at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa’s Music Box in Atlantic City. Fun fact: That’s also where her “Chic, C’est La Vie” music video took place.

Besides cardio, the Real Housewives of New York star likes to do a bit of lifting. “I do weights for the arms because I have to wear these dresses that are sleeveless, and then the legs and then the tummy so I have my routine that I do,” she continued. “Then I do yoga. I have a gym in my apartment — it’s fabulous and overlooks Central Park. It’s gorgeous, and I’m busy, so I think that also helps keep you in shape when you’re running around.”

The brunette beauty loves yoga so much, it’s what she does in her downtime apart from going on walks. “I go hiking upstate in my house,” she added. Though it’s clear Luann enjoys staying active, that’s not all she does for fun. “I hang out with my kids, go to the movies … things like that,” the reality star said. “Just being normal and not having a camera follow me … I am more down to earth than most people think. I come from a big family of six kids.”

Luann doesn’t only focus on bettering her health and hanging out with family. She’s also all about growing as a person. The singer divulged how she ignores the haters. “I just have to say that, I sing about this in my song — ‘the little things can take you down so best to brush them off’ — you know, I just feel like you have to have a sense of humor, you have to be good to yourself and kind to yourself with all the social media and things going around and the haters and you just can’t listen to that,” she said. That’s some sound advice!
