Former Black Stars and Asante Kotoko player, Ntow Gyan has called on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ministry of Youth And Sports to invest in local coaches.

Gyan, who has reiterated his desire to lead the Black Stars following the dismissal of Kwesi Appiah believes coaches in the country have been treated unfairly and that, want the government to support coaches going forward.

According to him, it is about time the Ghana FA and the Sports Ministry invest in local coaches to equip them in their chosen field.

“I will plead with the Ghana FA and the government (Sports Ministry) to invest in us. It is about time they sponsor us for refresher courses in abroad” he told Bryt FM.

“The government and the FA must start thinking about us because we have been neglected for a long time” he added.

He said, sacking of coaches is the solution to our problems with regards to our national teams but rather urging the government to fund for coaches to upgrade themselves so they will be more competent to lead the national teams.
