WaterFire kicks off its 2019 season with a basin lighting on Thursday at 8:07 p.m., in conjunction with a symposium being held in Providence by the National Association of State Treasurers.  waterfire.org.

Gaspee Days Arts & Crafts Festival

More than 100 artisans, community groups and nonprofits will be selling their wares and offering information during the Gaspee Days Arts & Crafts Festival, on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. along Narragansett Parkway in Warwick. Music by the Rob Davis Band on Saturday, Zink Alloy on Sunday, Black & White on Monday. Block party at the Aspray Boat House on Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m., with music from Salter’s Groove, Neal and the Vipers. Admission $5, for 21+. gaspee.com.

Virtu Outdoor Arts Festival in Westerly

The Virtu Outdoor Arts Festival returns to Wilcox Park, 44 Broad St., Westerly, on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival, a showcase for visual and performing arts, features entertainment and works by professional artists and artisans from around the country. Nitro Circus brings motocross to Pawtucket

The Nitro Circus comes to McCoy Stadium on Saturday at 7 p.m., with record-breaking attempts and stunts performed by athletes from BMX and FMX motocross, skate, scooter and more, including X Games medalists. Audubon activities on Memorial Day

The Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium, 1401 Hope St., Bristol, has Memorial Day nature activities for all ages on Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Activities include a hike, storytelling, animal encounter, crafts and games.
