Government is sending out a delegation to represent the country at the funeral of late Zimbabwe president Robert Mugabe, scheduled to take place in Harare, Zimbabwe on Saturday, 14th September 2019.
The delegation will consist of officials including the deputy minister for foreign affairs Charles Wiredu, a nephew of late Mugabe’s first Ghanaian wife, Mr Queesy Ninsin-Imbean and would be led by former president Jerry John Rawlings, according to a press statement issued by the presidency.
“The delegation is led by the 1st president of the 4th republic his Excellency Jerry John Rawlings and includes the deputy minister for foreign affairs Charles Wiredu, a nephew of late Sally Mugabe Mr Queesy Ninsin-Imbean”.
The late former President whose death was reported on Friday, 6 September 2019 ruled from 1980 to 2017, making him the longest-serving president of Zimbabwe.
